About partial out-of-pocket expenses for hospitalization

For patients who are hospitalized for more than 180 days, 15% of the hospitalization charges are treated as not covered by health insurance benefits unless the patient has symptoms as defined by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
For this reason, applicable patients will be asked to pay the equivalent amount (2,720 yen per day), which is not covered by health insurance benefits, at their own expense.
Please understand that this out-of-pocket expense is charged to the patient based on the system.

In addition, if a patient is hospitalized for the same disease within 3 months of the previous discharge, the number of days of hospitalization will be added up not only for this hospital but also for other hospitals.
For this reason, please also submit the "Declaration of Length of hospitalization at other medical institutions"
(The amount of out-of-pocket expenses may change slightly due to changes in the system, etc.).
