Message from the President

It is expected that by 2025, all those born in the latter half of the 1940s will all be elder members of our society, and by 2040, the number of people that are of working age will decline drastically. With a declining birthrate and aging population, Japan is the world’s most rapidly aging developed country, which poses many challenges ahead. As the need for medical and care services grow, there can even be people within the same household that require different and unique types of support. It is essential that service providers are able to provide support in various aspects by closely coordinating services such as medical care, preventative health care, aged care, disability care, in-home care and childcare. We have actively identified local needs including hospice care and home-visit nursing services. We have also been able to give shape to new services flexibly and quickly. We hope to endeavor to provide comprehensive and high-quality services.

We also hope that our staff involved in medical welfare will work together as a diverse team, gaining useful experience and growing independently. We are constantly working to provide an environment where our team can continue to work and build their career, regardless of their stage of life, whether they are a specialist, generalist, manager or otherwise.
To accomplish this, we hope to offer our staff attentive guidance, specialized training and a range of benefits.

In order to respond to changing times and continue to be a pioneer in operations, social welfare organizations must strive for even better management capabilities. Through the effective use of ICT resources and artificial intelligence, we hope to become more productive in the field of medical welfare. We will also continue to invest in and build on these systems into the future, as well as strengthen our corporate governance and financial base.

Society, as we know it is changing. Social welfare organizations will play an even greater role on the forefront of medical welfare. We will work to raise the quality in 3 focus areas; services, human resources and management. Furthermore, we will conduct activities sincerely as a social welfare corporation. In 1930, Seirei Social Welfare Community was founded when a group of people took in a young man suffering from tuberculosis and started to care for him despite the risk of infection. As an organization which continues to carry on our founding philosophy, and that can continue its work into the future with a strong sense of responsibility, we aim to realize a harmonious society where all people can feel secure.

Seirei Social Welfare Community
