The basic philosophy of Seirei Social Welfare Community’s Health Care Division is that prevention of disease lies in excellence of treatment. We feel that, rather than curing someone when they are sick, it is much more important to help them enjoy their life to the full without becoming sick. This is called primary prevention. It is essential to be aware of one’s state of health, reinforce the good aspects and start early on improving the aspects that might become a problem in the future. For this purpose, highly accurate diagnosis and personal health guidance are very important.
The early discovery and treatment of disease are also important. Rather than going to a hospital once symptoms appear, people should have medical checkups when they seem to be healthy so that any disease can be nipped in the bud before there are any symptoms. This is called secondary prevention.

Our Health Division has 5 facilities in Shizuoka Prefecture – Seirei Medical Checkup Center, Seirei Disease Prevention Center and Regional/Corporate Medical Checkup Center in Hamamatsu City and Seirei Health Support Center Shizuoka and Seirei Shizuoka Medical Checkup Clinic in Shizuoka City – all of them constantly providing health management services to people living in the region. The staffs of these 5 facilities constantly strive to provide high quality preventive medical care and a highly personal service and continue to improve their knowledge and skills through study.
