Hospital Admission Fee Copayment Information

For patients whose hospital stay exceeds 180 days and whose diagnosis does not correspond with those determined by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 15% of hospital admission fees are considered outside of health insurance coverage. Thus, this portion will be the responsibility of the patient to cover (2,580 JPY per day admitted).
Please understand that the portion charged to patients is based on this system.

Additionally, when calculating the number of days admitted, hospital stays for the same illness within the past 3 months will also be included. This includes stays at other medical institutions as well. Thus, please submit a report declaring hospitalization at other medical institutions at the time of payment.
(The amount of personal expense may change slightly due to changes in the system.)
