Rights and Obligations of Patients

You have the right to receive the necessary medical care despite differences in your personal background and/or the nature of your illness.
You have the right to be fully informed about the content of your medical care, including dangers and the probability of recovery. In some cases, the attending physician may determine that it is necessary to relay such information to your family or representative.
After being fully informed and receiving pertinent information, you have the right to make decisions about and/or deny content of your medical care, such as treatments, medical testing, etc., based on your personal will.
You have the right to seek a second opinion from a physician other than your attending physician in order to receive medical treatment that you fully consent to. If you choose to seek a second opinion from another physician or institution, we will furnish the necessary documentation.
We will protect your personal information received during the process of your medical care. Further, you have the right to access information and request explanation concerning your medical treatment, testing, and other activities related to your care.
If you feel your above rights have been infringed upon, or you have any doubts, you have the right to express your opinion.
In order to receive the best medical care possible, you are charged with the obligation of providing accurate as possible information regarding your health to your care providers, and to participate and cooperate in your treatment.
In order for all patients to receive the best medical care possible, you are obligated to obey hospital regulations as well as be considerate of other patients and not cause a hindrance to their treatments.
